Best-selling book comes to life

DOWNEY – Actor and producer Duffy Hudson will lead “an exciting and spirited conversation” on Karl Marlantes’ best-selling work of narrative non-fiction,” What It is Like to Go to War,” at City Hall this Monday at 7 p.m. Through the use of dramatic passages from the book, Duffy will lead conversation designed to learn about what is takes to serve your country in war.

“This is an opportunity to bring our community, veteran and non-veterans alike, together to share their thoughts and feelings about what it means to go to war,” library officials said.

The event will take place in the city council chambers at City Hall, adjacent to the library.
