NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

PLN-24-00011

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the DOWNEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION on the 7th day of August, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, California. At that time and place, consideration will be given to the following:

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (PLN-24-00011): A request to construct and operate a wireless communication facility within a 38-foot high stand-alone stealth tower at 9001 Paramount Boulevard on property zoned single-family (R-1). The facility is comprised of a 676 square feet lease area including (12) panel antennas, (2) parabolic antennas, (1) GPS antenna, (12) remote radio units (RRU), (3) tower-mounted junction boxes, and accessory ground mounted equipment, located within an enclosure.

All interested parties are invited to submit written comments and/or to attend and give testimony. The agenda and staff report, which provides a detailed description and analysis of this project, will be posted to the City Boards and Commission Meetings page of the City’s website (http://www.downeyca.org) on the Friday prior to the public hearing.

As required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this request has been found to be Categorically Exempt from CEQA, pursuant to Guideline Section No. 15303 (Class 3 –New Construction of Small Structures). Class 3 exemptions consist of installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures.

NOTE: STATE GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65009 NOTICE: If you challenge the proposed actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Division at, or prior to, the public hearing.
