Warren High Chalk Festival April 18

DOWNEY – Warren High School’s Art Club will host its fourth annual Chalk Festival for beginners and professionals alike April 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members of the public of all ages can participate. Awards will be given in various categories including Best Rendition of a Masterpiece, Best Use of Color, Best Humor, Most Original, Best Group/Team artwork, and Best Youth (ages 12 and under).

Entree fee is $5 per person or $10 for a group. Chalk is provided, though artists can bring their own.

Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. and judging is at 3 p.m., with awards to follow.

All money raised will go towards Art Club scholarships for Warren High seniors. The Art Club is the on-campus organization that provides scholarships to students excelling in the visual arts.

Sponsorships are also available, with sponsors recognized on the event’s website and also at the event. Sponsors can also choose to sponsor a specific artist’s square.
