Letter to the Editor: Firestone Blvd. trees

Dear Editor:

There is a popular belief that Los Angeles was built on a desert area, a turnaround praise related to raising the standard of living of its inhabitants. Today, I woke up to a bitter surprise.

Beautiful, flowering and shaded full trees were chopped down from the center divider on Firestone Boulevard. Those picturesque trees gave the boulevard character and personality to the city.

I am disappointed with my voted representatives for not taking care of nature in our a city, giving way to deserted areas, with excuse of drought. A fallacy, intentional or not, proving lack of knowledge of the roll of nature in weather effects.
