Free turkeys available for families in need

DOWNEY — The Southeast Bruins will be distributing free turkeys on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The free turkeys will be given to families in need who reside in Southeast Los Angeles County, including the cities of Downey, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Maywood, Lynwood, South Gate, Bell, and Huntington Park.

Distributions will begin at 9 a.m. and will take place at the Law Office of Ricardo Perez, 10919 Lakewood Blvd. in Downey. Space is limited and families must first register and bring ID or recent mailing letter showing the address matching the address on the RSVP form.

Known officially as the UCLA Alumni Los Angeles Southeast Network, the Association is officially recognized by UCLA and strives to create a sense of community among the 5,000 UCLA alumni in the area.
