LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Water restrictions

Dear Editor: I am well aware that Downey as well as the state of California has a serious water problem. Yet this issue has yet to be addressed in this newspaper.

I just printed out on my computer eight pages of water restrictions enacted two years ago and tips for water conservation. Before that I was unaware that Downey had enacted water restrictions, believing that Downey’s wells would handle the problem.

It would be a great public service if the water use restrictions were printed in your newspaper along with water conservation tips over a period of serveral weeks.

The people of Downey should not be unaware of this important information.
