Tea Party

Dear Editor: Isn’t it great that we live in a free country and are allowed to have our own opinions about things?

I did some research after reading Giovanni Hortua’s letter on May 1. The Tea Party political group is not a racist organization. It is an American organization that supports enforcing the Constitution of the United States.

I think everyone could benefit by looking up the websites teaparty.org, nclr.org (La Raza) and nsm.org (National Socialist Movement). Look these up and then tell me who the racist organizations are.

There are good and bad people of all races but we need to be united as Americans in order to be a strong, educated and prosperous country.

I attended a Tea Party rally one Sunday a few years ago at Griffith Park. There were people of all races there. The candidates talked about preserving the American way of life. Topics included education, the budget and the Constitution. It was peaceful and when 3,000 people left, there was not a piece of trash on the ground.
