Free meals at Downey schools

DOWNEY – Selected Downey Unified schools will be offering free breakfast and lunch this summer to students as part of the federal Seamless Summer Food Service Program. Alameda Elementary will serve breakfast from 9-10 a.m., and Sussman Middle School from 10-10:20 a.m.

Downey and Warren high schools are offering lunch from 10-11 a.m., while West Middle School will have lunch from 12-12:30 p.m.

Meal service will be available Monday through Thursday, starting June 23.
