Downey swimmer going for gold

DOWNEY – Warren High School junior Kruz Jimenez will be swimming for gold at the Special Olympics Southern California 2014 Summer Games Invitational, taking place this weekend at USC. Jimenez already won a couple of gold medals at last week’s regional games. He also participated in the Lakewood Aquatic’s “swimathon,” completing 140 laps.

This weekend, he will be swimming both solo and as part of a relay team.
