Free winter formal dresses for girls in need

DOWNEY - High school students in Downey who cannot afford a gown for winter formal can receive a free dress this Saturday, courtesy of the Assisteens of the Assistance League of Downey.Girls receive a complete outfit, including dress and accessories, at no charge. The giveaway is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Assistance League chapter house located at 7749 Florence Ave. in Downey. For more details, call Stacy Brabant at (310) 991-3757.
