WDLL accepting donations to help West Pasadena Little League

DOWNEY — West Downey Little League is accepting donations of youth clothes and baseball equipment to benefit children of West Pasadena Little League, located near Altadena, the site of the Eaton Fire.

“These kids are unsure if they’ll have a season but West Downey Little League wants to make sure we can help make that possible,” said WDLL board member Tyler Hessler.

A collection drive will take place this Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9 am to 1 pm at the baseball fields at Stauffer Middle School. Only clothing and baseball equipment will be accepted, no cash.

“That’s gloves, balls and miscellaneous items that we can donate to the league,” said Hessler. “Our goal is quickly get these clothes up to the kids that need them and help set this league up so that if they can have a season, they will have a season.”
