Services held for Ethel Florence Gilliam

DOWNEY - Services were held Saturday for Ethel Florence Gilliam, who passed away Oct. 8. She was 83.She was born in Murfreesboro, Ark., and resided in Downey for 50 years. Gilliam was vice president of Emerson Electric. She belonged to First Baptist Church of Downey. Services were held at Miller-Mies Mortuary. Burial was at Rose Hills Memorial Park. She is survived by her children, James Harris (Maggie) Gilliam Jr. and Kimberley (Bob) Gilliam Seldon; and grandchildren, James Harris Gilliam III, Michelle Gilliam, Kristen Paige Gilliam, Susan Kimberley Gilliam, Cooper Gilliam Seldon and Raleigh Gilliam Seldon. She was predeceased by her husband, James Harris Gilliam, in 2003, and her son, Stanley Thomas (Kathy) Gilliam, in 2006. ********** Published: October 16, 2009 - Volume 8 - Issue 26
