Sean Ashton oath of office

New councilman Sean Ashton was administered the oath of office Tuesday, assuming the District 2 seat vacated by Mario Guerra, who was termed out after eight years.  

“As I’m standing up here I’m reminded of the first three words of the constitution of this country and the constitution of California: ‘We the People,’” Ashton said in his opening remarks. “That’s something I will carry with me, that I am here for the people.”
