Rubio's offering free tacos this Friday

DOWNEY — Rubio’s Coastal Grill will have its food truck at Independence Park this Friday, giving away tacos from 11 am to 5 pm.

The visit is part of Rubio’s food truck tour across Southern California as they promote their new Blais Street Tacos, menu items launched in partnership with celebrity chef Richard Blais.

The trio of new tacos includes Hula Hula Carnitas, Blaised & Glazed Crispy Chicken, and Ancho Po-Boy Shrimp.

“We’re inviting everyone who has been missing travel and adventure to come to our Food Truck for a taste of favorite destinations – Hawaii, New Orleans and New York,” said Rubio’s Co-Founder Ralph Rubio.

“We partnered with Chef Richard Blais, who infused incredibly bold flavors and textures, to create three delicious Rubio’s x Blais street tacos that are completely new for Rubio’s fans. We can’t wait for Rubio’s fans to try them, so we’re taking them to the streets.”
