Rosalie Carpenter to be remembered

DOWNEY - A memorial gathering for longtime Downey resident Rosalie Carpenter, who died May 26, will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center.Carpenter wrote the song "Set Me Down in Downey." Tuesday's City Council meeting was adjourned in her memory. The public is invited to tomorrow's gathering.
