Retired LAPD detective accused of uploading child porn

DOWNEY – Charles Daniel Henderson, a Downey resident and retired LAPD detective, was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on child pornography charges. Henderson is accused of uploading child porn in May 2014. A search warrant served at his home last October turned up more than 600 images of child pornography, prosecutors said.

If convicted, he faces up to six years, four months in prison. Bail was recommended at $80,000.

Henderson worked at the LAPD for about 20 years. The case is being investigated by the Downey Police Department.
