Rae “Jean” Jones

Rae “Jean” Jones passed away at 88 years young, surrounded by her family at home on Wednesday, January 6th 2021, from Covid-19.

She grew up in Ontario CA, raised her three boys in Bell Gardens before moving to Downey in 1980. She continued to help raise those who needed her love and guidance. Her home was always open and she made sure everyone had a place to call home.

Tennis was her second love after her family. She was an active member of The Downey Tennis Club, and could be found out on the courts 2-3 times a week for many years.

She is survived by her two oldest sons, along with her 8 grandkids, 17 great grandkids, and 5 great great grandkids, however she was “grandma” to so many more. She will be missed by so many family and friends.

Due to Covid-19 no services or gatherings will be held at this time.

In honor of my grandma Jean hug your love ones often, and as she would say not a half way hug, but a good two armed hug.
