Ponytail sign-ups start next week

DOWNEY — Registration will get underway next week for Downey Ponytail softball. 

Several divisions are available for girls ages 5-18. All girls in divisions 8U through high school will be drafted. 

In Downey Ponytail, girls play every other inning and bat round robin. 

Registration is $100 for 6U and $160 for 8U through high school. The registration fee incudes the jersey, a trophy, pictures, and secondary insurance. 

Players must provide their own helmets with a NOCSAE approved face mask. 

Sign-ups will take place June 5 and June 12 from 9 am to 1 pm at Independence Park. Registration fees are due at the time of sign-ups. Payment can be made with cash, check, Venmo or Zelle. 

Player evaluations begin June 19 and continue through July 1.
