Police officers to read to children

DOWNEY – Downey police officers will be at the Downey City Library next week as the library celebrations National Police Week. Police officers will be reading to preschool-age children May 12, with a special bilingual edition May 13. Both events are from 10:30-11 a.m.

Kids will also make a craft and enjoy black and white crafts.

The program is open to kids ages 3-5 and their caregivers; no groups will be admitted.
