DOWNEY - Our Lady of Perpetual Help School will host its annual wine tasting event tomorrow on its campus from 6 to 11:30 p.m.Proceeds from the event will be put into a fund that will be used to install air conditioning on its 60-year-old campus. The event will have an international theme of wines, beers, hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Live entertainment and music will be provided by Satisfaction, and there will also be dancing, a live and silent auction, and raffles. "Last year's event was very festive and fun for all who attended," said Veronica Zuniga, who attended last year and is a first grade parent. "We hope to raise money for air conditioning in the classrooms as many students complain of headaches, difficulty concentrating, and discomfort." Presale tickets are $35 or $40 at the door. For tickets and/or donations, call OLPH School at (562) 869-9969. Local businesses supporting this year's event include All-American Home Center, Frantone's Pizza, Mimi's Café, Pardella's Automotive, and Sambi's.
