Northwest Downey Little League wins All-Star tournament

DOWNEY — The Northwest Downey Little League 8U All-Star team won the California District 29 Little League Championship on July 30, going 6-1 in the tournament and defeated La Mirada in the championship game by a score of 11-3.

The team was coached by Jared Robinson, Pete Reyes, and Don Hurtikant.

The roster consists of Adrian Orozco, Izzy Torres, Lucas Hurtikant, Andrew Cepeida, Esteban López, Brody Lowe, Cruz Lira, Jackson Rivera, Salvador Chávez, Matthew Gunn, Paul Sanchez, Dontay Kidd, Antonio Reyes, Mason Robinson

District 29 is composed of 8 Little Leagues, including Northwest Downey, La Mirada, Crescent, West Downey, Metro, Norwalk, Little Lake, and Buena Park National.
