Crime Report: 9/13/2022
On 8/31/2022 at 6:45 am, officers responded to a theft in progress at 12118 Lakewood Blvd. A witness followed the suspect across the street to a parking lot where she entered an awaiting vehicle. Responding officers detained the suspects and recovered evidence of the attempted theft.
On 8/31/2022 at 4:35 pm, officers were dispatched to 8686 Firestone Blvd. in regards to a robbery in progress. The victim, who is an employee at the location, was approached by three male suspects, who demanded money from the register. One suspect began striking the victim with a baseball bat, while a second suspect took the money in the register. All suspects fled the location out of sight. Victim sustained minor injuries.
On 9/4/2022 at 2 am, officers were dispatched to a call of shots fired at The Glenn bar, 7356 Stewart & Gray Road. The victim and the suspect were involved in an argument inside the bar. The fight spilled out into the parking lot. The suspect fired three shots at the victim, but no one was struck by gunfire. The suspect fled the location and was not located.
On 9/4/2022, at 7:40 pm, officers responded to a call of a female armed with a knife at 12543 Rose Ave. The suspect attempted to stab the victim and stated she was going to kill him. The female was last seen in the carport of the complex. A containment of the immediate area was established by responding units and the female was detained attempting to flee the location. The victim was unharmed and the suspect arrested.
