Music showcase planned for 2015

DOWNEY – Local musician Sebastian Sidi has announced plans for a talent show next spring for singers and musicians, taking place April 19 at the Downey Theatre. The event is not a competition, but rather an opportunity for musicians to display their talents on stage.

“The concept of this showcase is to create a professional concert setting that will allow aspiring young artists/singers to showcase their talents for their fans, family and members of the music industry such as producers, record labels, management companies, talent agencies and booking agents,” said Sidi, who will host the competition along with voiceover artist Daniel Romo.

Each artist will have 15 minutes to perform on stage. The artist can sing cover songs or original material, with or without instruments or backing tracks.
