Memorial Day event at Bastards

DOWNEY – Bastards BBQ is holding a Memorial Day commemoration event Monday from 12-10 p.m. The event includes an outdoor beer garden, live musical performances, veterans resource booths, a clothing drive, and more.

Donations of clothing, shoes, hats, hygiene items, and belts for men and women can be dropped off between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Donations should be in good to excellent condition, folded and bagged.

There will be a moment of silence followed by the playing of Taps at 3 p.m.

Bands scheduled to perform include Misty Blue (classic rock), New American (a Downey band), River Train Company and Redneck Rodeo – Orange County.

The event is open to the public.
