Mary Lou Lang dies at 85
DOWNEY – Mary Lou Lang, longtime resident of Downey passed away at her home on Jan. 26 at age 85 years.
She was born Nov. 19, 1931 in Ramah, New Mexico. She was a music teacher, teaching guitar for over 40 years.
She was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Downey 3rd Ward fulfilling many callings and responsibilities.
She is survived by a son Jon Lang (Elisa) and two daughters Alyson Tyner (Richard) and Kirstin Wood (David), nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband James Lavar Lang (2003) and two sons David Scott Lang (1978) and Mark Lang (2002).
Funeral services were Jan. 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Downey with burial following at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.
