Longtime resident Afton Davis dies at 98

DOWNEY – Downey resident Afton Turnbow Davis passed away Feb. 9 at the age of 98. 

She was born in Salt Lake City on Nov. 13, 1919. Afton moved to Downey in 1946 where she raised her two girls, Diane and Judy, and lived for 65 years. 

Afton is survived by both daughters and sons-in-law, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She spent her final years in St. George, Utah. 

A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
