Library to close half-day next Friday

DOWNEY - The Downey City Library will be closed Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to allow library employees to attend a half-day staff development workshop.The library will be open from 1-5 p.m. that day. When the library is closed, the public may return library materials in two bookdrops located near the entrance doors. Materials may be renewed via the library's automated Customer Service line at (562) 869-5723.
