Letter to the Editor: Support for Tammy Ashton

Dear Editor:

All seven members of the Downey Unified School District Board of Education are supporting Dr. Tammy Ashton for election to the Cerritos College Board of Trustees. 

Dr. Ashton will bring a knowledgeable, deliberative and fair-minded approach to the issues facing Cerritos College. Her only agenda is to do what is best for the students, faculty, employees and taxpayers of the college. Her clear-headed leadership is needed on the Cerritos College Board of Trustees. 

On a personal note, Dr. Ashton has every right to use the title of doctor. After all, she earned a valid Juris Doctor degree from Glendale College of Law. For anyone to suggest otherwise is just wrong.
