Letter to the Editor: Foster Road townhomes

Dear Editor:

I believe that there should be an Environmental Impact Study done on the property that the City of Downey proposes to put in 14 new townhouses (10361 Foster Rd.).

The contractor would build 14 townhouses between the electrical power towers and the riverbed. The study that has been done now was done by Mr. William Davis, the city planner. We need someone outside the city to look at the property and let us know that it is safe to put families there. 

I expect a state of federal agency to make that decision. In my opinion it is an unsafe place to build homes.
