Letter to the Editor: Protect capitalism
Dear Editor:
Dear Editor:
Last time that I looked, the US was a capitalistic country. That is why I was shocked to see that 5 of the 6 Democratic candidates that debated last week in Las Vegas had never started a business or had to meet a payroll.
Hence they have no concept of what capitalism is all about and they tried to outdo each other in expressing their Robin Hood philosophy, steal from the rich to give to the poor. They have realized that is very easy to be generous with some body else’s money.
Perhaps is time to change the election laws and require from any candidate for President to have five years of experience starting and running a business. So that they can not be bought, they should also have at least a modest estate; i.e. one that will not pay estate taxes.(Inherited wealth would not count. Sorry Donald.)
We are in trouble if any of the five candidates mentioned herein makes as the Democratic nominee. No one in his right capitalist mind will vote for him and the other choice is not very appealing either.
God bless the US and send us a candidate that understands capitalism and is willing to fight for its survival.
