Crime Report 3/4/2020
Monday, February 24: At approximately 12:35 p.m., officers arrested a male transient in the area of the 10300 block of Foster Road after he vandalized a Downey Police patrol car.
Tuesday, February 25: Nothing to report.
Wednesday, February 26: At approximately 9:50 p.m., a Downey police officer located an "armed and dangerous" vehicle wanted by the LA County Sheriff's Department near Paramount Boulevard and 5th Street. A felony car stop was conducted and two subjects were detained for the Sheriff's Department to further investigate.
Thursday, February 27: Nothing to report.
Friday, February 28: At 10:15 p.m., a road rage incident occurred at the Downey Promenade. During the altercation, the male pointed a handgun at the victim twice, following the victim onto Lakewood Boulevard before fleeing the area. Detectives are investigating.
Sunday, March 1: At approximately 1 a.m., two men were arguing outside the Valero Gas Station at 7935 Imperial Hwy. when one man allegedly attempted to stab the other with a knife. The suspect fled westbound on Imperial Highway.
Over the course of the weekend officers made 17 arrests for charges including; domestic violence, drunk in public, DUI, grand theft, petty theft, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and warrants.
