Letter to the Editor: Downey school system

Dear Editor:

Last week my youngest child graduated from Warren High School, ending our family's involvement in the Downey school system. My three children all attended Downey schools and each one received an excellent education.

I would like to thank all of the wonderful teachers who touched my children's lives and influenced them both academically and emotionally. I am an elementary school teacher myself, so I completely understand what it takes to devote your heart and soul to your students.

I will be forever grateful to DUSD for preparing my children for their future, as educated, productive citizens who will make the world a better place.
