Downey AYSO sending 6 teams to Hawaii

DOWNEY -- Downey AYSO is sending six teams and more than 80 players to Oahu, Hawaii to compete in the annual Aloha International Cup tournament in mid-July.

Players range in age from 8 to 19, and all paid for the trip through fundraisers or by obtaining sponsorships from local businesses.

The six teams are led by Coach Sesilia Gonzales for Girls Under 10, Coach Brian Falcon for Boys Under 12, Coach Mike Rios for Girls Under 14, Coach Jorge Ramirez for Boys Under 16, Coach Win Powell for Girls Under 19, and Coach Armando Rodriguez for Boys Under 19.

Downey AYSO will be selling fireworks this year at their stand located in the Ralph's parking lot off Lakewood Boulevard.
