La Jolla Festival in 24th year

LA JOLLA - On June 26-27, the 24th annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts will give festival goers many things to look forward to. This year's festival will feature nearly 190 award-winning fine artists displaying extraordinary, unique pieces of art.Featured street artists Madonnaro, Melanie Stimmell and others will use chalk pastels to turn an asphalt canvas into a stunning street of colors. Again part of the festival will be book signings and demonstrations from celebrity chefs and authors including Bernard Guillas, Ron Oliver, Deborah Schneider and Jen Yates. There will also be a classic car exhibition featuring the modified racecars of the Cal-Diego Paralyzed Veterans Association - Motor Sports Program, the "Wicked Stangs" Mustang Club, and the Austin Healey Club of San Diego. The festival will take place June 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at UC San Diego's east campus located at Genesee Avenue and Regents Road. Admission is $10; children 10 and under are free.
