Kids invited to design police department's holiday greeting card
DOWNEY — The Downey Police Department, in partnership with the Downey Unified School District, has announced their “Holiday Greeting Card Contest.”
DUSD students are encouraged to submit their artwork in hopes of being selected to be used on the police department’s holiday greeting cards. One winner will be selected from four categories: TK-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
Submissions are due by Oct. 30. DUSD students must turn their work into the front office while private school students must turn their work in directly to the Downey Police Department, attention Yvonne Rosales.
Artwork must be on 11” x 8.5” paper in landscape format, legibly labeled with the student’s name, grade, and school.
Winners will be notified the first week of November and recognized at the City of Downey Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 9.
