JPL project manager to speak at Downey space center

DOWNEY – JPL’s Artur B. Chmielewski will be at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey on Saturday, Nov. 22 to give a presentation on the Rosetta Mission. Chmielewski is the U.S. Rosetta project manager. He has also managed several flight projects at JPL, was a project element manager on the Deep Space 1 mission and a power system engineer for Galileo.

He is responsible for the development of nine space craft instruments and several new devices.

His presentation starts at 1 p.m. The discussion is included with the normal $5 admission price.
