Joyce Sok mourned

DOWNEY – Joyce Marie Sok, 84, passed away Feb. 14 in Downey after a long illness with complications of pneumonia. She was born in Prairie County, Ark., July 1, 1930. She was a longtime resident of Downey and a member of St. Raymond’s Catholic Church for more than 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Sok; her parents; three sisters and one brother.

Joyce is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Sok and Kayla (Michael) Daniel, all of Downey; two sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Catholic service was held at Sky Rose Chapel at Rose Hills on Feb. 20.
