Gardening workshop at Wilderness Park

DOWNEY – The L.A. County Department of Public Works will present a smart gardening workshop this Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Wilderness Park. Guests will learn about grass recycling, backyard composting, worm composting, and water-wise gardening techniques. Compost bins ($40) and worm bins ($65) will be available for purchase, cash or check only.

The workshop is open to the public and no pre-registration is required.
