John Feito, 1954-2024

John Lawrence Feito, a lifelong Downey resident, died Oct. 2 after a brief illness. He was 70.

He was born April 29, 1954 at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood to Virginia Sipe and Martin Fieto. Virginia was a teacher at Warren High School and Martin worked for the railroad.

Virginia and Martin also had a second son, Michael, born in 1955.

John attended Downey public schools and later enrolled in trade schools where he learned welding and mechanics. He enlisted in the Army but was discharged for medical reasons. He later worked as a groundskeeper.

John was predeceased by his parents and brother. Services are under the care of Risher Mortuary.
