Gala to raise funds for PIH center

WHITTIER – Whittier residents Rich and Annette Atwood have made the lead donation to name PIH Health’s Spiritual Care Services in honor of the late James P. Fitzgerald MD. Fitzgerald was a physician who practiced medicine at PIH Hospital in Whittier for over 50 years. He held the belief that spiritual and emotional support is essential to patient care.

Throughout his career and following his retirement, he spent many hours visiting patients, providing support and comfort in their time of need.

This year, the PIH Health Foundation gala “Midnight at the Oasis” will raise funds in support of the Dr. James P. Fitzgerald Spiritual Care Services at PIH Health. The black tie affair will be held April 25 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. It will feature silent and live auctions, dinner, and dancing to music provided by the West Coast Music Company of Beverly Hills.
