DOWNEY — A ceremony to install Councilwoman Claudia M. Frometa as Downey mayor is scheduled for Tuesday, 6:30 pm, at City Hall.

Former mayor Rick Rodriguez will give the invocation. The flag salute will be led by Frometa’s three daughters, Emily, Sarah and Jessica.

Frometa will give her mayoral address following the administration of the oath of office.

This will be Frometa’s second term as mayor. She replaces Blanca Pacheco, who resigned last week after she was elected to the state Assembly.
