Free barbecue at mortuary

PICO RIVERA - A Pico Rivera mortuary will host a barbecue and pie-eating contest May 31 as it pays tribute to police, fire, sheriff's deputies and city employees.The barbecue is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the pie-eating contest begins at 1 p.m. Raffles will be held every half-hour. The event is free and open to the public. Funeraria Del Angel Morrow's is at 9107 E. Washington Blvd., east of Rosemead Blvd.
