Foundation collecting formalwear donations

LYWNOOD – The St. Francis Medical Center Foundation is collecting donations of men’s and women’s formalwear that it will distribute at no cost to those who cannot afford clothing for prom, graduation and similar events. The foundation also offers professional suits and business attire appropriate for job interviews.

The foundation is accepting donations of the following items:

prom and formal dresses in all sizes but with a particular need for larger sizes (medium through 3XL)

cocktail dresses in all sizes

evening/formal shoes for girls and women in all sizes

jewelry and handbags appropriate for formal occasions

suits, tuxedos, dress pants and dress shirts in all sizes, with a particular need for smaller sizes (boys/men size small and medium)

evening/formal shoes for boys and men in all sizes

Donations should be gently-used and clean (the foundation does not have a budget for dry cleaning). Styles should date back five years or less.
