Firefighter service

Dear Editor: I want to remind everyone in Downey about the emergency program — for $48 a year, as a subscriber our paramedics are on call.

I live in northeast Downey near Fire Station No. 4. I had immediate response after a fall in my home. Eight wonderful firefighters took me to PIH Hospital in Whittier.

This is a “thank you” to those great guys.
