Elizabeth Dreher passes away

DOWNEY – Elizabeth Dreher, age 93, died April 23 in Orange. She was laid to rest April 29 at Rose Hills in a private family graveside service.

Beth Dreher was born Sept. 4, 1922 to Harold and Dorothy Rolfe in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up and was educated in Media, PA. She served as an Army Nurse in the Philippines and Japan at the end of WWII. 

Beth married Ervin Dreher MD on May 15, 1948. They moved to Southern California. After Ervin returned from Korea they settled in Downey in 1957. 

In Downey she raised their 5 children and lived there for 56 years. Beth was active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Widow and Widowers Club and TOPS. She also delivered meals for Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Dreher and is survived by her five children and nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
