Downey Kaiser's Donovan Taylor earns leadership award

DOWNEY — Donovan Taylor, clinical director of Emergency and Hospitalist Services at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center, has been awarded the inaugural Daisy Nurse Leader Award, which honors nurse managers, directors and others “who create an environment where compassionate care thrives.” 

Donovan’s nomination notes that he has been a model for outstanding transformational leadership that has empowered his nursing staff of over 225 nurses and 15 administrative members. 

“I love my job and I love my staff,” Donovan said upon receiving the award. “It is an honor to do what I do.”
