Dennis Saab sworn-in as judge

DOWNEY — Downey attorney Dennis Saab was appointed Judge of the California State Bar Court in Los Angeles.

Judge Saab was sworn-in on July 5 before his family and friends in a ceremony at the courthouse. Before joining the bench, he was a solo practitioner in Downey for 23 years where he practiced in a variety areas of law.

Judge Saab was a Commissioner of the California Commission on Access to Justice and sat on a number of boards including the Cerritos College Foundation, the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center Foundation, the Southeast District Bar Association, the Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis, and Coast to Coast Homeless Foundation.

Judge Saab earned his law degree from Loyola Law School and a bachelor’s degree from UCLA. He is a graduate of St. John Bosco High School and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Downey.

He is pictured with his mother Elsa, wife Jeri and his triplet children, Lucas, Hannah and Karina. He is the brother of current Councilman Alex Saab.
