Crime Report: 6/14/23

On May 22 at 1:05 am, officers were on patrol when they observed a stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Firestone Blvd and Patton Rd. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver.

On May 23 at 9 pm, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area of 9200 Lakewood Blvd. The suspects stole property from the store and threatened to have a handgun. Detectives are investigating.

On May 25 at 6:30 pm, officers responded to the area of 12100 Eastbrook Ave regarding a suspicious vehicle. Inside of the vehicle officers discovered 4 subjects with a loaded handgun and narcotics. All four subjects were arrested.

On May 28 at 7:20 pm, officers responded to the area of 12600 La Reina Ave regarding a robbery by force. The suspect had stopped the victim while walking and demanded his backpack. The suspect forcefully pulled the backpack away from the victim and left on foot. Detectives are investigating.

On May 29 at 6 pm, officers responded to the area of 13200 Woodruff Ave regarding an attempted armed robbery. The victim refused to provide any money and the suspect fled on foot.

On May 31 at 8:20 pm, officers observed a stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Lakewood Blvd and Rosecrans Ave. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver.

On June 2 at 7:10 pm, officers responded to the intersection of Paramount Blvd and Quill Dr regarding a traffic collision involving a motorcycle. Officers discovered a motorcycle had collided with another vehicle and the motorcycle rider had succumbed to his injuries.

On June 4 at 4:25 pm, officers responded to the area of 7300 Stewart and Gray Rd regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Officers discovered the victim had been stabbed twice and the suspect had fled the scene. The victim received treatment and is in stable condition. Detectives are investigating.

On June 5 at 3:15 pm, officers responded to the area of 8840 Apollo Way regarding an attempted kidnapping. Witnesses stated a male had attempted to kidnap a female while walking in the area with her family. Officers arrived and located the male and arrested him for kidnaping. The female was not injured.

On June 7 at 9:50 pm, officers responded to Sussman Middle School regarding a vandalism. Officers discovered approximately $2,500 worth of damage to a room at the school, located the two suspects on campus and arrested both of them.

On June 7 at 10:40 am, officers responded to the area of 9500 Lakewood Blvd regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim stated the suspect had stabbed him multiple times inside a business. Officers and detectives responded and eventually located the suspect. The suspect was arrested and later sent to county jail.

On June 11 at 2:15 am, officers responded to a parking lot in the area of Stewart and Gray Rd and Lakewood Blvd regarding an assault. When officers arrived, the victim stated the suspect had shot them once in the leg and fled the scene. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was transported to the hospital and was in stable condition. Detectives are investigating.
