Coyote sightings

Dear Editor: A PSA for Downey residents: I work for Kaiser Permanente at the Independence Park building and we have spotted two coyotes in recent weeks.

They have been seen in the rear parking lot as well as in front of the building. I have also seen them eating trash on Bellflower Boulevard in front of the skate park, as well as in and around the park itself.

They do not seem to be adults.

While I have not heard of any attacks, I did save a feral cat who looked like it was about to be eaten.

Just wanted to let the citizens of Downey know just in case they are out to walk small dogs or out for a jog.
