City of Downey has volunteer opportunities for students
DOWNEY -- The city of Downey has volunteer opportunities for students looking to fulfill volunteer hours this summer.
Middle school and high school students can help staff city-wide special events and participate in youth programs at local parks.
There are minimal fees and afternoon meetings are scheduled during the year.
An orientation for interested students will be held Wednesday, May 11, at 4 p.m. at the Barbara J. Riley Center. Volunteer interest forms are available at the Parks & Recreation office and online.
